The course introduces the practice of spiritual direction as a ministry in the Church, the three dimensions of spiritual direction and the principles and techniques of Spiritual Direction. It will also include the biblical meaning of discernment, the art and method of spiritual discernment according to St Ignatius's Spiritual Exercises within the context of spiritual direction and the invitation of discernment in contemporary times.
