Getting to know our Board Members

Dr. Kenneth Ho, Chairman of the CTIS Board

Since the founding of the Catholic Theological Institute of Singapore (CTIS) in 2013, Dr. Kenneth Ho has been a steadfast pillar of our mission. Serving on both the CTIS Board of Management and the CTIS–SFXMS Academic Board since our inception, Dr. Ho’s dedication and vision have played a vital role in shaping our path.

In July 2024, Dr. Ho stepped into the role of Chairman of the CTIS Board, bringing with him a wealth of experience as an economist, educator, and faith leader. A man of deep conviction and thoughtful leadership, he continues to guide CTIS with humility, wisdom, and a strong commitment to theological education for the laity.

Dr. Ho read Economics at the University of Michigan and the University of London, and has served as an economist with DBS Bank and the U.S. Embassy. He has also taught in a number of academic institutions, including the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Singapore campus) and the State University of New York (Buffalo), where he currently serves as an adjunct faculty member.

In 2022, Dr. Ho was awarded a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) by the Graduate Theological Foundation in the United States, for his research on the impact of cultural intelligence (CQ) and multicultural pedagogy in undergraduate Economics education. His work reflects a unique blend of academic excellence and intercultural understanding—principles that resonate strongly with the ethos of CTIS.

Beyond academia, Dr. Ho also serves the Church as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd. His leadership is rooted not only in scholarship and service, but also in deep faith and a sense of vocation.

We are truly blessed to have Dr. Kenneth Ho leading the CTIS Board. Under his chairmanship, we look forward to new horizons in Catholic theological education and lay formation.

Please join us in thanking and praying for Dr. Ho as he continues to serve the Church and the CTIS community with dedication and grace.
