Inauguration Mass 2016
Inauguration Mass was held to commence the academic year 2016 at CTIS, Catholic Centre on Monday, 11 Jan 2016. During the mass the Rectors and lecturers of CTIS and SFX Major Seminary solemnly pledged their Faculty Profession of Faith before the Archbishop of Singapore.
They recited the Nicene Creed and publicly declared to embrace and strongly uphold every doctrine asserted and declared by the Church on faith and morals, whether by solemn definition or by the ordinary Magisterium, especially those that concern the mystery of the Holy Church of Christ, His Sacraments, the Sacrifice of the Mass and the Primacy of the Pope. More than 150 participated in the mass which included the seminarians, both the new and present students.

Academic Conference (Mandarin)
CTIS recently organized an academic conference in the Mandarin language on the theme Misericordiae Vultus (Looking for Mercy). The conference on topics relating to the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis was held on Sunday, 17 January 2016 and attended by about 90 faculty members, graduates, students and guests.
Speakers on the conference panel were Fr Valerian Cheong (Vice-Rector of St Francis Xavier Major Seminary), Fr Peter Zhang (Vice-Rector of CTIS and head of the Mandarin Dept), Fr Kenson Koh (CTIS and seminary lecturer) and Mr Samuel Ng (CEO Montfort Care).

New Campus for CTIS
On 26-Oct-2016, the Groundbreaking Ceremony took place for the new Seminary and Formation Building on the freehold land in front of St. Joseph's Church (Bukit Timah). This new building will house CTIS and St. Francis Xavier Major Seminary. Read more...
